Dr. Tara Frem is a multilingual Licensed Psychologist. She earned her Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Frem completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship in Louisville, Kentucky through Centerstone, which included placement at the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center (KCPC). At Centerstone's Child and Family Center, she completed psychological assessments with adolescents and adults as well as conducted individual and group therapy with adult sex offenders and adults referred by Child Protective Services. At KCPC, she administered psychological testing to over 250 adults charged with felonies as part of forensic evaluations for competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility. With colleagues at KCPC, Dr. Frem is also conducting research on cognitive constructs associated with competency.
She is a Certified Partner Abuse Intervention Professional and also served as a writer and editor for the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Her clinical interests include trauma and forensic and correctional psychology. She provides psychological evaluation and treatment services at correctional facilities in Kentucky through Shelton Forensic Solutions and outpatient forensic evaluations and Expert Witness Testimony through one of our office locations.
