Dr. Rachel Hempel Rhudy, M.A., Psy.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She earned a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, both from Spalding University. She trained at the St. Louis Psychology Internship Consortium in St. Louis, MO, where she acquired specialized skill in forensic evaluation, including competency to stand trial and integrated risk assessments.
She has worked with clients across the lifespan in diverse clinical settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, inpatient forensic hospitals, community mental health clinics, and residential addiction recovery centers. Her areas of clinical focus include forensic psychology, correctional psychology, severe and persistent mental illness, substance abuse, and suicide prevention. Over the past several years, she has trained hundreds of individuals throughout Kentucky in recognizing and responding to suicide warning signs.
She has provided evaluation and treatment services at correctional facilities in Kentucky through Shelton Forensic Solutions and provides supervision and consultation at our outpatient offices.
