Capt. Michael Hogan LMDC Ret. (Director of Security) is a seasoned criminal justice professional with 20 years of experience in corrections. During his two-decade tenure with the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections, he was repeatedly promoted in rank to Sergeant, Lieutenant, then Captain.
He was a member of the Special Operations Response Team (S.O.R.T.) and a supervisor in the Field Operations Unit for the Home Incarceration Unit. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve and was deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina as part of Operation Joint Forge (NATO).
Mr. Hogan earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and holds numerous certifications in the field of criminal justice and corrections. He is a former instructor for the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections Training Academy, where he taught multiple courses ranging from Sex Crimes to Crime Scene Preservation.
He served on the Executive Board of Louisville Corrections Fraternal Order of Police as a Trustee and 2nd Vice President. He is also an experienced K-9 trainer.
