Dr. Emily Elder, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist. She earned her Masters (M.A.) degree and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University after acquiring her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Baldwin-Wallace College.
Dr. Elder has several years of clinical experience working in college counseling centers and in community mental health centers. She has provided therapy and conducted assessments with patients across the lifespan. She has facilitated and designed group counseling and outreach programs. Dr. Elder has had specialized training in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), and Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Her clinical interests focus on trauma, children, and family.
She performs psychological evaluations for Shelton Forensic Solutions.
