Dr. Christina Brackett is a Licensed Psychologist. She earned her Doctorate of Clinical Forensic Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed her internship in San Antonio, Texas through the Bexar County Juvenile Probation Department. She has experience conducting a variety of psychological assessments for pre-adjudicated and post-adjudicated youths. She has also conducted individual, group, and family therapy within the juvenile detention center system. She has been involved in the regular mental health training of detention officers.
Dr. Brackett completed her Forensic Psychology Fellowship at Larned State Hospital's State Security Program in Larned, Kansas where she conducted court-ordered forensic evaluations as well as individual and group therapy. While at the State Security Hospital, she served as Treatment Team Facilitator and as a Unit Psychology Fellow on the East 1 Unit (a unit that housed high violence risk patients who were ordered to the hospital under treatment statutes for Lack of Mental State and Competency to Stand Trial).
Dr. Brackett's areas of interest include complex trauma, substance abuse, serious mental illness, and restorative justice. She currently provides psychological evaluation and treatment services at correctional facilities in Kentucky through Shelton Forensic Solutions and outpatient forensic evaluations and Expert Witness Testimony through one of our outpatient offices.
